As a Senior Quality Control Engineer in the real estate industry, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the quality of both residential and commercial high-rise structures by implementing a robust quality assurance and quality control system across all projects. You will be tasked with conducting thorough quality checks on materials and workmanship at construction sites to guarantee adherence to the relevant standards and codes. Your duties will include performing Quality Control Inspections at various stages as per approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Drawings, and Specifications for all structures. You will also need to verify that correct construction practices are being followed in compliance with approved Method Statements, ITPs, Drawings, and specifications, specifically focusing on structural works. You will need to verify the reinforcement details based on the latest Vendor Drawing for Construction (VFC) and perform random sample checks to validate the correctness of Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) against reference drawings. Moreover, you will be tasked with verifying the quality of fresh concrete, including slump, cohesiveness, retention time, and concrete mix batching sheets against the approved design mix during concrete pouring. In case of non-conformities post-concrete activities, such as waterproofing, masonry, gypsum, and plaster, you will be responsible for raising Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) to the contractors, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University and have at least 7-8 years of experience as a QA/QC Engineer, with a minimum of 5 years dedicated to premium high-rise residential projects. Additionally, you should possess knowledge of applicable IS codes for construction and material testing, familiarity with setting up and running site laboratories, experience in High Grade Concrete Mix Designs and testing, proficiency in MS Word and Excel, strong verbal and written communication skills, good organizational abilities, and problem-solving competencies.
