Senior Python Developer

Role Description –

As a key member of our backend engineering team, you will:

• Build and scale reliable RESTful APIs using Django and Django REST Framework.
• Design resilient and optimized PostgreSQL schemas and write efficient, production-grade SQL.
• Lead and maintain automated web scraping and browser workflows using tools like Selenium or Playwright.
• Develop and deploy ETL scripts to ingest, clean, and transform external data (CSV/JSON) into our systems.
• Secure APIs using JWT/auth token-based flows, role-based access control, and session security best practices.
• Orchestrate scheduled tasks and long-running jobs using Celery, CRON, and retry strategies.
• Containerize applications using Docker, and deploy via CI/CD pipelines on cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP).
• Contribute to monitoring and observability with logging (ELK/Splunk), health checks, and Sentry integration.
• Participate in sprint planning, story grooming, and code reviews, ensuring best practices and high standards.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Min 4+ years of Python development experience in production environments.
• At least 2+ years of hands-on Django experience, preferably with Django REST Framework.
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL, schema design, indexing, and query optimization.
• Strong understanding of web scraping automation using Selenium or Playwright.
• Familiarity with OTP/2FA integrations and secure data flows.
• Experience with Celery, Redis/RabbitMQ, and job scheduling frameworks.
• Comfort with Docker, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins), and cloud services like AWS or GCP.
• Strong focus on test coverage: unit testing (pytest, Django TestCase) and integration testing.
• Deep knowledge of REST API security, performance, and caching (Redis/memcached).
• Experience working with Git and code collaboration platforms (GitHub/GitLab).
