Job Purpose:
Responsible for the procurement of commodities through the development and implementation of strategic sourcing plans and by maintaining strong supplier relationships.
Job Profile:
· Handle procurement of electrical and mechanical machine spares, domestic raw materials (RMs) required for agri/food product manufacturing, imported RMs, and packaging materials such as cartons, bottles, sleeves, bags, and buckets.
· Coordinate with Marketing and R&D for the development of packaging materials and artwork.
· Analyze market trends and delivery systems to evaluate present and future material availability.
· Analyze purchase price variances and initiate corrective actions.
· Plan, develop, and procure materials, parts, supplies, and equipment in a timely and cost-effective manner while maintaining quality standards and specifications.
· Work towards reducing purchase costs.
· Participate in the development of specifications for equipment, products, or substitute materials.
· Identify and evaluate new suppliers/vendors and assess product availability and commercial terms.
· Support the development of supplier agreements and contracts as needed; assist in formulating procurement-related policies and procedures.
· Review, evaluate, and approve specifications for issuing purchase orders and work orders.
· Resolve vendor or contractor grievances and claims in coordination with the Head of Department (HOD).
· Coordinate with stores for proper storage of materials, equipment, and supplies.
· Review purchase orders and contracts to ensure compliance with company policies.
· Maintain all statutory and company-required documentation through effective record-keeping and organization.
Academic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or B.Tech (preferably in Chemical Engineering). A minimum of a Diploma is required.
MBA in Supply Chain / Material Management / PGDBM is an added advantage.
Work Experience:
6-7+ years of experience in FMCG Manufacturing / Petrochemical / Chemical industries.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a executive role with strong manpower management exposure.
Desired Candidate Profile:
· Proficient in spoken and written English; knowledge of Hindi (optional) and the local language is preferred.
· Willingness to travel extensively within the local region.
· Proficient in MS Office; experience in SAP or similar ERP systems is preferred.
· Strong understanding of both import and domestic procurement processes.
· Experience in managing ISO 9001 & 14001 Quality Management Systems.
· Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
· Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
