Senior Project Manager

What you will do

Main Tasks/ Responsibilities / Authorities:

• Manage Class 0 Projects and Class1,2,3 and New Product Development (NPD) projects according to given scope and within given time and budget
• Lead Class 0 Projects and Class1,2,3 and NPD projects from Early phase to End gate according to VCE project model
• Lead the project managers from the cross-functional areas
• Drive and secure delivery of Class 0 Projects and Class1,2,3 and NPD projects according to the assigned project plan
• Assure overall QDCF of product is achieved, or obtain appropriate deviations/ acceptance from the governance body
• Identify main risks and establish mitigation plan/activities
• Report project status and alert relevant issues/deviations to project governance
• Establish and maintain and be responsible for budget process within the project
• Inform, communicate, and cooperate with functional management
• Analyse and evaluate product targets to maximize gross margin and minimize product cost, to meet customer buying criteria, to maximize the design for manufacturability, assembly and maintainability
• Secure Volvo Group’s Quality, Safety & Health, Environmental Policy and code of condact are implemented

Who are you?

Required knowledge & experience:

1. Education/Professional Qualifications required for the position:

• At least 5 years Project Management experience with product development in relevant industry
• Well proven leadership skills
• A proficient communicator and net worker
• Ability to drive co-worker commitment and motivation
• Be able to work and manage in a matrix organization
• Good adaptability, open to change
• PMP certificate is an asset
• Agile project management skill is a plus

2. Additional Important Requirements:

• Fluent in English, written and spoken
• Multi-cultural experience is a plus
• 3 to 5 years of experience in Management
