Role Overview

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer who pairs exceptional visual craft with creative problem-solving to lead the design of our fan-facing experiences. You’ll take ideas from concept to launch, set high standards for visual quality, and create the systems that keep our products consistent and scalable.

This role is both hands-on and strategic, i.e. you’ll design high-impact features yourself while also guiding our visual approach and mentoring other designers.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the end-to-end design process for major product initiatives across web, mobile, and new fan engagement platforms.
• Define the visual direction for our products, ensuring every touchpoint feels fresh, consistent, and brand-aligned.
• Design and deliver polished, detail-driven user interfaces — from wireframes to high-fidelity prototypes — that balance beauty and usability.
• Build and maintain a scalable design system and component libraries to ensure visual and functional consistency across the brand.
• Work closely with Product, Engineering, Editorial, and Growth to align design decisions with user needs and business goals.
• Take initiative in setting high design standards and fostering good design practices within the company.
• Use user insights, testing, and data to validate and refine design concepts.
• Stay aware of design trends in sports media, UI/UX, and fan engagement to bring fresh, innovative ideas to the table.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Experience: 4+ years in digital product design, ideally in media, sports, or other high-traffic consumer platforms.
• Portfolio: A strong body of work showcasing both top-tier visual design and thoughtful UX solutions.
• Craft Skills: Mastery of Figma (plus relevant prototyping tools) and strong typography, composition, and interaction design skills.
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to connect visual execution to user needs and business priorities.
• Collaboration: Comfortable working cross-functionally and presenting work to stakeholders at all levels.
• Leadership: Experience mentoring designers and advocating for design excellence within a team or company.

• Experience designing for sports, entertainment, or online communities.
• Skills in branding, or creative storytelling.

• Redesign our personalized homefeed and article reading experience.
• Launch community-first features like polls, reactions, loyalty rewards, or gamification elements.
• Shape the visual identity of our newsletters and editorial storytelling assets.
• Build internal tools for editorial and community managers.
• Evolve and maintain a lean design system that scales with our growth.
