Responsible for supporting the delivery of business analysis and consulting processes and procedures for the defined specialism using sound technical capabilities, building and maintaining effective working relationships, ensuring relevant standards are defined and maintained, and supporting delivery of process and system improvements. As a Senior Product Designer, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary group of product managers and engineers to shape the future of the foundational platforms that power all BP applications. Your work will influence the design and usability of critical systems, ensuring seamless, intuitive, and scalable experiences that drive innovation across the organization.

This role includes understanding user needs, conducting research, creating wireframes and prototypes, collaborating with product and project managers, business partners, and engineers, and ensuring a seamless user experience from concept to final product. Supporting discovery activities

• Engage in the full discovery process.
• Attend ideation workshops with particular focus on supporting rapid prototype creation.
• Create and develop design and UX artifacts (e.g. process flow, wireframes, low & high-fidelity designs) and clickable prototype using approved tools, workflow and bp Core.
• Set up user sessions to gather requirements and validate designs.
• Collaborate with UXR and SD to carry out user testing and usability testing.
• Work with tech lead to Iterate and refine designs to align with tech solutions.
• Create final design and prepare assets for dev handover
• Ensure final designs are documented in the global feature sketch files.
• Make final designs available in Zeplin for dev handover
• Document design UX logic and details in Confluence
• Ensure product designs align with bpCore and BioVerse global features.

Supporting delivery activities

• Support APMs in the creation of user stories and acceptance criteria
• Arrange or participate in handover sessions onboarding dev teams
• Support dev teams during development sprints
• Review and test design implementation to ensure development is done according to design specifications
• Raise and prioritize UI observation and bugs

What you’ll need to be successful (experience and qualifications)

• A bachelor’s degree in design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as a Product Designer or similar role.
• A strong portfolio showcasing your design skills, including UX and UI projects.
• Expertise in tools like Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• A deep understanding of UX/UI principles, accessibility standards, applying established UX principles and design standards
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, thriving in a team environment.
• A passion for creating accessible, user-first designs.

Preferred skills and experience

• Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
• Hands-on experience with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Familiarity with Agile or other iterative design and development methodologies.
• A commitment to accessibility, with knowledge of WCAG or other accessibility frameworks.

They create wireframes and prototypes that incorporate complex interactions and user flows. Their UX and UI designs create seamless and engaging user experiences.
