Job Description

Whatyou llbe spending your time on:

Lead the design of complex financial technology products, ensuring they are user-friendly, effective, and align ed with business goals.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, business, and marketing, to create holistic design solutions.

Lead all design related activities for a specific domain (Design sprints, workshops, brainstorming sessions, presentations, etc.)

Conduct user research and usability studies to understand customer needs, pain points, and behaviors.

Translate research findings into design decisions, creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.

Champion a user-centered design approach, advocating for the end-user in all design discussions.

Work closely with the R&D team to ensure the final product meets visual standards when shipped to customers.

Provide mentorship and guidance to junior designers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning within the design team.

Stay abreast of competitor experiences, industry trends, and emerging technologies in financial technology and design.

Have you done this kind of stuff

Bachelor s or Master s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.

Minimum of 8 years of experience in product design (bonus points if in the financial technology sector).

Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in UX/UI design and a deep understanding of design principles.

Proficiency in design tools such as Figma (preferred), Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools.

Experience with user research methodologies and usability testing.

Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong communication and presentation skills - written, verbal and visual (English).

Basic technical understanding of web and mobile platforms.

Strong commitment to advocating for and implementing Accessibility Guidelines and embracing Inclusive Design practices.

Proficiency in complementary areas such as User Research, UX Writing, Prototyping, and Service Design, contributing to a holistic design approach.

Demonstrated track record in successfully navigating rapid, iterative design and development processes, ensuring adaptability and responsiveness.

Extensive experience tackling large-scale, complex, and ambiguous projects across multifunctional teams, showcasing an ability to thrive in challenging environments.
