Job Description

Senior PHP Developer


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable PHP code
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, designers, and product managers
  • Lead the technical design and implementation of new features and enhancements
  • Troubleshoot, test, and maintain the core product software to ensure strong optimization and functionality
  • Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers
  • Integrate data storage solutions like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, etc.
  • Implement RESTful APIs and third-party integrations
  • Ensure code quality and maintainability by following best practices and design patterns
  • Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in PHP development
  • Proficient with at least one modern PHP framework (e.g., Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter)
  • Strong understanding of OOP, MVC architecture, and software design patterns
  • Experience with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Vue.js or React is a plus)
  • Experience with version control systems (Git)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Strong debugging and performance optimization skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Experience with Docker or other container technologies
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience with microservices architecture
  • Familiarity with automated testing frameworks (PHPUnit, Codeception, etc.)
