Senior Network Administrator is responsible for the design, implementation, management, and optimization of the organization’s network infrastructure. This role ensures high availability, security, and performance across firewalls, routing and switching platforms, load balancers, WAN optimization devices, and wireless networks.
o Implement and enforce network security policies and procedures.
o Perform periodic audits and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance.
o Support incident response and troubleshooting for network security events.
o Utilize monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, etc.) to ensure network health and availability.
o Troubleshoot complex network issues across LAN, WAN, WLAN, and Data Center environments.
o Provide escalation support for critical network outages.
o Maintain detailed documentation of network diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
o Lead and support network infrastructure upgrade and migration projects.
o Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams for cloud, security, and application integration.
o Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
o Hands-on expertise in:
o Firewall technologies (Palo Alto).
o Routing & Switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, VLANs, QoS).
o F5 Load Balancers (LTM, GTM, ASM).
o Riverbed WAN optimization.
o Wireless networking (Extreme, Aruba, or equivalent).
o Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, MPLS, and network segmentation.
o Familiarity with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible) is a plus.
o Relevant certifications preferred (CCNP/CCIE, F5-CA/CTS, NSE, CWNP, Riverbed RCSA/RCSP).
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
o Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
o Ability to work independently and mentor junior staff.
o Strong project management and time management skills.
