Shaw group seeks an experienced and motivated professional to join its growing Global Middle Office function in Hyderabad/Bengaluru/Gurugram. This team supports the lifecycle of the firm’s global trading strategies and serves as a key link between the front office and operational teams. This role offers the opportunity to help drive trade support, manage cross-functional communication, and contribute to process improvements in a collaborative, forward-thinking, and inclusive environment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO DAY-TO-DAY:
In this role, you will act as both an escalation and a direct participant in managing inquiries from trading desks and ensuring timely and effective resolution of operational issues. You will partner with trading desks, technology, and operations to enhance operational processes, controls, data quality, and mitigate risk.You will also develop and oversee workflows, dashboards, and tools to monitor trading activity, ensure knowledge continuity, and operational efficiency. Furthermore, you will collaborate closely and cross-functionally with front office, technology, and operations teams to anticipate business needs, resolve issues, and expand middle office capabilities. Lastly, you will also model and promote a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and collaboration in alignment with the firm’s values.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
Basic qualifications:
- A postgraduate degree and 8 to 15 years of relevant experience in financial operations or trade support
- At least 5 years of proven experience managing, mentoring, and motivating dynamic, or high-volume financial operations teams or trading environment
- An excellent understanding of trade lifecycle operations, including trade capture, P&L, security master, and settlement processes
- Exceptional communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail, with a keen desire to grow and take ownership in a dynamic setting
- Experience managing front office inquiries and coordinating with internal/external stakeholders to resolve operational issues
- Familiarity with financial software such as Bloomberg, IHS Markit, or Capital IQ; comfort with tools used in middle/back-office environments
Preferred qualifications:
- A Chartered Accountancy (CA) or an MBA qualification
