Senior Manager

Role Purpose:

Key Responsibilities:

• Tender Management:

  • Review tender documents, technical specifications, and commercial terms for T&D projects.
  • Prepare and submit competitive bids within stipulated timelines.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and finance teams for bid preparation.

• Cost Estimation:

  • Develop detailed cost estimates for transmission lines, substations, and related infrastructure.
  • Analyze material, labor, and equipment costs to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
  • Incorporate risk analysis and contingency planning in cost models.

• Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination:

  • Obtain and evaluate quotations from vendors and subcontractors.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms to optimize project costs.

• Compliance & Documentation:

  • Ensure adherence to statutory and client requirements in tender submissions.
  • Maintain accurate records of tenders, estimates, and bid outcomes.

• Market Intelligence:

  • Track industry trends, competitor pricing, and market conditions to improve bid strategies.
  • Provide inputs for pricing benchmarks and cost optimization initiatives.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of T&D project tendering and estimation processes.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and estimation tools.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously under tight deadlines.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor s degree in Electrical/Civil Engineering (MBA preferred).
• 10 15 years of experience in tendering and estimation for T&D projects.
• Proven track record of successful bid submissions and cost optimization.

Performance Indicators:

• Number of tenders submitted on time and accuracy of estimates.
• Win ratio of tenders and profitability of secured projects.
• Compliance with client and statutory requirements.
