Senior Manager - Internal Audit

Candidate Profile

• CA/Semi-CA/CIA (mandatory) with hands-on experience in Risk based internal audits.
• Minimum 3 to 4 years of relevant experience in Big4s/listed companies, preferably in the hospital/healthcare sector.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office, and ERP platforms (Tally/SAP).
• Excellent analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
• High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
• On-site presence at Kerala is mandatory.

Role Expectations

• Lead and manage the internal audit (IA) team across the Kerala hospitals.
• Advise and support the KIMS leadership on internal controls, risk management, and process improvements.
• Provide timely updates to the Head Internal Audit (Corporate) on operational risks and audit observations across the units.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct concurrent audits of hospital transactions as per defined scope.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
• Evaluate and strengthen internal controls in key areas such as Finance, Procurement, Pharmacy, and Operations.
• Identify and immediately flag deviations, irregularities, or potential fraud.
• Validate transaction-related documentation and perform surprise checks in critical areas (OPD, IPD, Billing, Pharmacy, Labs, Stores, etc.).
• Collaborate with department heads and finance teams to implement corrective actions and enhance controls.
• Contribute to the development of audit checklists, SOPs, and risk registers.
• Prepare detailed audit reports highlighting observations, root causes, and actionable recommendations.
• Conduct Internal Financial Controls (IFC) testing with appropriate documentation.
• Stay updated with internal audit standards, control frameworks, and industry best practices.
