Key Responsibilities
Industrial Relations Management
Employee-Management Relations
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships between management and workforce through direct engagement and communication channels
- Establish effective grievance handling mechanisms and conflict resolution procedures to address workplace disputes
- Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints, workplace issues, and disciplinary matters
- Facilitate dialogue between different levels of management and employees to maintain workplace harmony
Workplace Compliance & Regulatory Affairs
- Ensure complete compliance with all applicable labor laws including Industrial Disputes Act, Factories Act, wage codes, and workplace safety regulations
- Handle statutory returns, documentation, and regulatory submissions with accuracy and timeliness
- Manage factory licenses, contractor registrations, and all compliance certifications
- Monitor legislative changes and proactively update company practices to maintain regulatory compliance
Dispute Resolution & Conflict Management
- Serve as primary mediator for workplace conflicts and disputes between employees and management
- Implement structured conflict resolution processes and maintain comprehensive documentation
- Develop preventive measures to minimize industrial disputes and maintain workplace stability
- Handle disciplinary procedures and corrective actions in accordance with company policies and legal requirements
Government Relations & External Liaison
Regulatory Body Coordination
- Build and maintain professional relationships with labor department officials, factory inspectors, and government authorities
- Handle all interactions with regulatory bodies including ESIC, Provident Fund departments, and local administrative offices
- Represent HLAgro during government inspections, compliance audits, and regulatory reviews
- Coordinate with legal teams on employment-related matters and regulatory disputes
Policy Development & Implementation
- Collaborate with senior management to develop workplace policies related to employee conduct, discipline, and workplace standards
- Ensure consistent policy implementation across all departments and maintain policy documentation
- Provide guidance to supervisors and managers on policy interpretation and application
- Review and update policies regularly to align with regulatory changes and organizational needs
Administrative Operations Management
Facilities & Infrastructure Management
- Oversee comprehensive administrative operations including facilities management, security systems, and maintenance programs
- Manage office infrastructure, equipment procurement, and operational efficiency initiatives
- Coordinate vendor relationships, service contracts, and facility-related services
- Supervise administrative support staff and optimize operational workflows
Contract & Vendor Administration
- Handle negotiation, execution, and management of service contracts with external vendors and contractors
- Ensure contract labor compliance with documentation requirements, safety standards, and regulatory obligations
- Monitor vendor performance, service level agreements, and cost optimization opportunities
- Manage contractor adherence to company policies, safety protocols, and quality standards
Documentation & Records Management
- Maintain accurate records of all industrial relations activities, employee interactions, and compliance matters
- Oversee personnel documentation related to administrative and compliance functions
- Ensure proper documentation of grievances, investigations, and resolution outcomes
- Manage statutory record-keeping requirements and audit trails
Essential Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Minimum:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Relations, Labor Relations, Business Administration, or related fieldPreferred:
Master's degree in Industrial Relations, Law degree (LLB), or specialized certification in Labor Law and Industrial Relations- Additional certifications in conflict resolution, mediation, or regulatory compliance are highly advantageous
Experience Specifications
15-20 years of progressive experience
specifically in Industrial Relations and Administrative Management roles- Proven track record in managing workplace relations, conflict resolution, and regulatory compliance in industrial/manufacturing environments
