Senior Java Developer (Spring Boot, Microservices, REST) Experience: 6-8 Years Location: Chennai Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer with 5-8 years of expertise in developing robust applications using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, JPA, and microservices. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software design patterns, best practices, schedulers, MySQL stored procedures, and modern development tools like GIT. Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk is essential. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level applications and services, ensuring they are scalable, maintainable, and efficient. Key Responsibilities: Design and Development: Develop and maintain Java-based applications and microservices using Spring and Spring Boot frameworks. Implement and expose RESTful APIs, ensuring optimal performance and security. Design and implement schedulers for asynchronous processes. Develop and maintain database interaction logic using JPA and MySQL stored procedures. Architecture & Design: Design scalable and maintainable architectures using microservices patterns. Apply proven design patterns and best practices to build robust, reliable systems. Perform system architecture design and API design to ensure high scalability and flexibility. Database Management: Write and optimize complex MySQL queries and stored procedures. Ensure proper data management and performance tuning for large datasets. Monitoring and Logging: Use Splunk or similar tools for log monitoring, analysis, and reporting. Set up and maintain logging frameworks to ensure smooth monitoring of application health. Version Control & Collaboration: Use GIT for version control and collaboration across teams. Ensure proper code management, branching, and code review practices. Continuous Improvement: Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices. Participate in code reviews, suggesting improvements and optimizations. Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure smooth CI/CD pipelines. Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues, bugs, and scalability challenges. Perform root-cause analysis and provide long-term solutions for production issues. Required Skills: Core Technologies: Proficiency in Java (Java 8+), Spring and Spring Boot frameworks. Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and microservice architectures. Hands-on experience with Java Persistence API (JPA) for database operations. Database Management: Expertise in MySQL , including the design and optimization of stored procedures. Tools and Platforms: Splunk for log monitoring and analysis. GIT for version control. Schedulers: Experience with job schedulers (e.g., Quartz or Spring Scheduling). Best Practices & Design Patterns: Strong understanding of software design patterns , object-oriented programming (OOP) principles, and best coding practices . Microservices: Experience designing, developing, and maintaining microservices in a distributed environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with CI/CD pipelines and working with DevOps teams. Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is a plus. Familiarity with other logging/monitoring tools besides Splunk (e.g., ELK stack). Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Leadership and mentoring experience is a plus. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
