Headquartered in Chennai with a back office in Tirumangalam, Madurai, Tamilnadu the Academy is expanding its academic and administrative leadership team.

Role Overview


Professor Academy is seeking a highly experienced Senior HR Manager with strong expertise in Performance Appraisal Systems, HR Policies, People Management, Statutory Compliance (PF/ESI), and HR Technology Platforms.


The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and strengthening data-driven performance appraisal frameworks, improving HR processes through digital systems, ensuring statutory compliance, managing employee relations, and building a strong organizational culture aligned with institutional goals.


Key Responsibilities


Performance Appraisal & Talent Management


• Design, implement, and manage fair, transparent, and data-driven performance appraisal systems

• Develop and monitor KPI/KRA frameworks aligned with organizational objectives

• Implement 360-degree feedback systems, employee scorecards, and performance dashboards

• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual performance evaluations

• Support leadership with promotion, increment, and performance improvement decisions


HR Operations & Policy Management


• Draft, review, and enforce HR policies, SOPs, and disciplinary frameworks

• Handle employee grievances, conflict resolution, and corrective actions

• Ensure strong people management practices and workplace discipline

• Drive employee engagement initiatives and culture-building programs


Statutory Compliance & Payroll


• Ensure end-to-end compliance with PF, ESI, Payroll, and Labor Laws

• Oversee compensation & benefits calibration and internal equity


HR Technology & Automation


• Lead implementation and optimization of HRMS platforms such as:

• Automate HR workflows, reporting, and appraisal processes

• Generate HR analytics and performance insights for management review


Educational Qualification


• MBA / PGDM in Human Resources (Preferred)


Professional Experience


Overall

• 10–15 years of overall HR experience

Miinimum 5 years of dedicated experience in:

o Performance appraisal systems

o KPI/KRA development

o Compensation & benefits management

o Competency mapping


Preferred Certifications (Added Advantage)


• SHRM-CP / SHRM-SCP

• HRCI – PHR / SPHR

• Performance Management

• HR Analytics

• Competency Mapping
