Job Description

Senior Executive / Executive - HR

Key Responsibilities:

1. Performance Management System (PMS)

  • Support the design, implementation, and monitoring of the performance appraisal system across stores and departments.
  • Coordinate goal-setting, mid-year, and annual review processes.
  • Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and ensure timely completion of performance evaluations.
  • Maintain performance data and prepare analysis reports for management review.

2. Training & Development

  • Identify training needs in collaboration with store and departmental managers.
  • Plan and coordinate training sessions on customer service, sales skills, leadership, compliance, and behavioural development.
  • Maintain training calendars, attendance, and feedback reports.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and suggest improvements.
  • Liaise with external trainers or institutes for specialized training programs.

3. HR Compliance & Audit

  • Ensure adherence to statutory requirements such as Shops & Establishments Act, PF, ESI, Gratuity, and other labour laws, timely renewals of licenses and registrations.
  • Conduct periodic HR audits across retail outlets to ensure policy compliance.

4. Employee Engagement & Communication

  • Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives, festivals, recognition programs, and welfare activities across stores.
  • Manage internal communication channels to promote organizational culture and values.
  • Support grievance redressal processes and ensure a positive employee experience.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of PMS, training, and compliance processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical and reporting abilities with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, HRMS, and presentation tools.
  • Ability to multitask and work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education:

    MBA or equivalent in related field.
  • Experience:

    35 years of experience in HR, preferably in the

    retail or service industry

    , with a focus on performance management, training, and compliance.

Key Deliverables:

  • Timely execution of PMS cycle and appraisal reports.
  • Minimum compliance deviations in audits.
  • Increased training participation and engagement scores.
  • Reduced attrition through improved employee experience.
