**Your Role:** You will be a leader in the engineering team and help us build great products. Work with our teams to develop QA strategy & standards and ensure alignment across the technology department.

**Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Engineering Manager, QA to lead our Quality Assurance (QA) team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Software quality assurance, Test Automation (including Mobile app Automation and API Testing ), and team leadership. You will be responsible for driving the QA strategy, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products, and fostering a culture of quality across the engineering organisation. This role requires a hands-on leader who can balance technical expertise with People Management skills, particularly in automation frameworks, API and Mobile Testing.

**Key Responsibilities**

1. QA Strategy & Leadership:

• Defi ne and implement the overall QA strategy, including test automation, manual testing, performance testing, API Testing and mobile app testing.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Product, DevOps) to ensure quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

• Drive continuous improvement in QA processes, tools, and methodologies, with a focus on Automation Frameworks and Mobile App Testing.

2. Team Management:

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of QA engineers, including hiring, onboarding, and performance management.

• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the QA team.

• Provide technical guidance and career development opportunities for team members.

3. Test Automation & Frameworks:

• Oversee the development and maintenance of robust test automation frameworks for web, API, and mobile applications (e.g., Playwright/Cypress, Selenium, Jmeter/Blazemeter, Appium, Espresso, XCUITest).

• Evaluate and implement QA tools and technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness in automation and mobile testing.

• Ensure the team adheres to best practices in test automation, including CI/CD integration and cross-platform testing.

4. Mobile App Automation:

• Lead the strategy and execution of mobile app automation, including functional, regression, and performance testing for iOS and Android platforms.

• Collaborate with mobile development teams to ensure seamless integration of automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.

• Stay updated on the latest trends and tools in mobile app testing and automation.

5. Quality Assurance Execution:

• Ensure comprehensive test coverage across functional, regression, performance, and security testing for web, API, and mobile applications..

6. Release Management:

• Collaborate with DevOps and Engineering teams to ensure smooth and timely releases

• Defi ne and enforce QA gates and criteria for production releases.

• Manage risk assessment and mitigation strategies for releases, including mobile-specifi c considerations.

7. Stakeholder Communication:

• Act as the primary point of contact for QA-related matters with internal and UK stakeholders.

• Provide regular updates to leadership on QA progress, challenges, and risks.

• Advocate for quality across the organization and ensure alignment with business goals.

**Qualifications**

1. Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related fi eld.

• Min 12+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 3+ years in a leadership or management role.

• Proven experience in test automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright/Cypress, Selenium, Appium, Espresso, XCUITest) and mobile app automation.

• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.

2. Technical Skills:

• Profi ciency in programming/scripting languages such as Java, Javascript/TypeScript

• Hands-on experience with mobile app automation tools (e.g., Appium, Espresso, XCUITest) and frameworks.

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and issue-tracking tools (e.g., Jira).

3. Soft Skills:

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
