Responsibilities
The Process Sr.Engineer primary responsibility is to take care End to end Lap Laser implementation in the plant. Besides he is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing operations and ensures that the production process runs smoothly and efficiently. He must manage a team of process engineers and associates, providing mentorship and guidance. Their role includes developing, implementing and validating new processes to optimize output using lean tools, while ensuring compliance with all safety and quality standards. He must know how to use the resource effectively and efficiently by eliminating the waste and by implementing continues improvement.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage Lap laser installation projects, including planning, execution, calibration and validation.
- Must be Expertise in
- CGX- CATIA – Composites Manufacturing preparation
- FMX – CATIA – Fiber Modeler
- LPX- CATIA – Composites laser projection
- Supervise a team of tooling engineers and associates.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Quality, Maintenance, Global tooling) to implement tooling improvements and integrate modern technologies.
- Ensure adherence to all safety and quality standards in production process, tooling.
- Lead tooling design reviews and support the development of new tooling for blade manufacturing, Support SAT and FAT.
- Analyse tooling performance and implement enhancements to improve durability, cycle time, and ergonomics.
- Coordinate with suppliers for tooling procurement, refurbishment and upgrades.
- Develop and implement solutions to improve operational efficiency and reduce waste.
- Maintain accurate documentation for tooling specifications, maintenance records, and change management processes.
- Support New Product Development by designing and validating tooling for new blade models.
- Apply systematic problem-solving techniques to identify root causes of tooling failures and production inefficiencies.
- Demonstrate expertise in CAD/Catia or other design tools to support and enhance tooling design, development and modification for blade manufacturing, ensuring precision, manufacturability, and compliance with engineering standards.
Experience
- Over 10 years of experience in the blade manufacturing industry and Minimum 5 years of experience in the process engineering department.
- Strong knowledge of glass fabric and process materials, including cutting and kitting, prefab, shell, finishing, tooling and material handling.
- Hands-on experience in change management and tooling processes.
- Proficient in lean manufacturing tools and methodologies. Skilled in problem-solving tools and their practical application.
