Role: Senior Engineer (L3) – OpenShift
Location: Noida ( Immediate joiners required)
Experience: 7+ years

Position Summary

We are looking for a Senior Engineer (L3) – OpenShift to take ownership of the design, deployment, and day-to-day operations of Red Hat OpenShift and its ecosystem. The candidate will act as the highest point of escalation for operations, while also leading implementation of solutions across OpenShift, ACM, ACS, ODF and ensuring strong DC/DR strategies.

Key Responsibilities
Design & Implementation

  • Deploy, configure, and manage OpenShift clusters in production-grade environments.
  • Implement Advanced Cluster Management (ACM) for cluster lifecycle, governance, and policy automation.
  • Deploy and configure Advanced Cluster Security (ACS) for vulnerability management, RBAC, and workload compliance.
  • Implement OpenShift Data Foundation (ODF) for persistent storage, backup/restore, and replication.
  • Design and implement Disaster Recovery (DR) and High Availability (HA) strategies for OpenShift clusters and workloads.
Operations & Support (L3 Ownership)
  • Act as the highest-level escalation point for OpenShift-related incidents and performance issues.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting across cluster networking, storage, and security components.
  • Conduct cluster upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.
  • Ensure monitoring, logging, and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, EFK/ELK) are tuned for proactive operations.
  • Manage CI/CD and GitOps integrations (Tekton, ArgoCD, Jenkins).
  • Conduct regular DR drills and maintain detailed runbooks.
Automation & Optimization
  • Automate cluster operations using Ansible, Terraform, and Helm.
  • Implement GitOps workflows for cluster and application lifecycle.
  • Optimize resource allocation, scalability, and performance tuning.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 7 of overall IT experience, with 3–5 years hands-on in OpenShift/Kubernetes.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of:
    • OpenShift platform – installation, upgrades, multi-tenant management.
    • Red Hat ACM – cluster lifecycle, governance, and policy-based management.
    • Red Hat ACS – image scanning, compliance, RBAC.
    • Red Hat ODF / Ceph – persistent storage, snapshots, replication.
  • Solid background in Linux administration, networking (CNI, ingress/egress, service mesh), and troubleshooting .
  • Hands-on with DevOps/DevSecOps tools (CI/CD, GitOps, container security).
  • Experience with backup & recovery tools (e.g., Velero, OADP).
  • Familiarity with hybrid and multi-cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Strong scripting/automation skills (Bash, Python, Ansible).
Preferred Certifications
  • Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration (EX280).
  • Kubernetes Certifications (CKA, CKS).
  • Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Data Foundation (ODF) – preferred.
Soft Skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues independently.
  • Mentor and guide L1/L2 engineers in day-to-day tasks.
  • Strong documentation and runbook creation skills.
Ability to work in 24x7 production support environments when required.
