Job Summary

Kooe Private Limited is seeking a

Senior Database Migration Expert

with deep expertise in

Microsoft SQL Server

and

Azure Cloud migration

. The ideal candidate will lead and execute end-to-end database migration initiatives, ensuring high availability, performance optimization, and seamless deployment across on-premise and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead or support Microsoft SQL Server on-premise to Azure Cloud migration projects.
  • Analyze, plan, and execute database migration strategies ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Optimize database performance for scalability, cost efficiency, and reliability in Azure.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and DevOps teams for smooth migration and deployment.
  • Implement backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes in cloud environments.
  • Conduct SQL code reviews, performance tuning, and query optimization.
  • Ensure data integrity, compliance, and adherence to best practices in database management.
  • Prepare technical documentation and provide post-migration support.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in SQL development and database migration.
  • Proven hands-on experience in migrating SQL databases to Azure Cloud (IaaS/PaaS).
  • Strong proficiency in T-SQL scripting, stored procedures, and query optimization.
  • Experience with Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Storage.
  • Familiarity with database monitoring, indexing, and partitioning strategies.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and data governance in Azure environments.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in Microsoft Azure Database Administrator Associate (DP-300) or equivalent.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting, Azure CLI, or migration tools (DMA, DMS).
  • Exposure to CI/CD for database deployments using pipelines or automation tools.
