About the Role:

Senior Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Design, build, and maintain scalable
data pipelines
and ETL processes.
Develop
data architectures
, models, and warehouses to support analytics and business intelligence.
Optimize
big data systems
for performance, scalability, and reliability.
Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand
data requirements
and provide clean, structured datasets.
Implement
data quality checks
, monitoring, and governance practices.
Work with
cloud platforms
(AWS, Azure, GCP) and database technologies (SQL/NoSQL).
Support
real-time and batch data processing
for analytics applications.
Mentor junior data engineers and promote best practices across the team.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in
Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
.
5+ years of experience in
data engineering, ETL development, and big data systems
.
Strong programming skills in
Python, Java, or Scala
.
Expertise in
SQL, data warehousing, and relational/non-relational databases
.
Experience with
cloud platforms
: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Knowledge of
data modeling, pipeline orchestration, and workflow management
(Airflow, Luigi, etc.).
Familiarity with
streaming technologies
(Kafka, Spark Streaming) is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a
fast-paced environment
.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with
BI tools
(Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
Knowledge of
data governance and security best practices
.
Exposure to
machine learning pipelines
is an added advantage.
