Senior Communications & PR Manager

Role Overview

We’re seeking a dynamic and strategic Communications PR Lead to shape and amplify Varaha’s voice globally. In this leadership role, you’ll craft compelling narratives, drive high-impact campaigns, and elevate our brand across investor, partner, and public channels. From media relations to content creation and event strategy, you’ll play a pivotal role in positioning Varaha as a global climate tech leader.

Key Responsibilities

Core Brand Marketing Assets

• Design and deliver visually compelling, high-quality decks for projects, investors, and donors.

• Develop impactful business proposals, concept notes, and branded materials for conferences and stakeholders.

• Oversee creation and distribution of branded merchandise for events and partners.

Owned and Earned Channels

• Manage regular newsletters for investors and carbon buyers.

• Lead social media strategy and execution (LinkedIn, YouTube) with data-driven performance tracking.

• Generate engaging content that highlights Varaha’s science, tech, and fieldwork.

• Coordinate with influencers, bloggers, and thought leaders for external features.

• Ghostwrite opinion pieces and social content for founders and key leadership.

Website Digital Presence

• Maintain compelling, accurate, and regularly updated content across all website sections.

• Ensure strong digital storytelling and audience engagement through the site.

Media PR Strategy

• Develop strong media relations to secure top-tier global coverage (e.g., Forbes, Bloomberg, Reuters).

• Craft and distribute announcements for partnerships, milestones, and impact metrics.

• Organize events including webinars, roundtables, and industry meetups.

Conferences Events

• Lead strategy for major climate and sustainability conferences.

• Secure speaking engagements and coordinate speaker preparation.

• Represent Varaha at key events, building strategic networks and partnerships.

Qualifications

• 10–12 years of experience in communications, PR, or marketing.
• Prior experience in startups, sustainability, or social impact sectors preferred.
• Outstanding writing, storytelling, and content development skills.
• Proven success in managing global media and digital campaigns.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Excellent public speaking and presentation skills.
• Experience organizing events and conference participation.
• Familiarity with generative AI tools for content creation and marketing.
