Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Chemist at Sathyabama Institute of Science & Technology, Chennai. The Senior Chemist will be responsible for conducting advanced research and analysis in the field of chemistry, developing and optimizing new chemical processes, writing and reviewing research papers, and overseeing laboratory staff and operations. The role involves collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, mentoring junior chemists, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Additionally, the Senior Chemist will participate in academic activities, including teaching and curriculum development.

Qualifications

• Advanced research skills in Chemistry and experience with chemical analysis techniques
• Proficiency in developing and optimizing chemical processes
• Experience in writing and reviewing research papers
• Strong leadership skills to oversee laboratory staff and operations
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Ph.D. in Chemistry or a related field
• Experience in an academic or research institution is beneficial
