About the Role

Senior Category Manager

Key Responsibilities

Own the P&L for the assigned category; deliver on revenue, margin, and growth targets
Analyze data trends and market insights to develop actionable strategies for category performance
Lead assortment planning and pricing strategy to maximize product visibility and customer value
Build strong vendor relationships and negotiate commercial terms to drive profitability
Collaborate closely with Marketing, Product, Supply Chain, and Ops teams to execute category plans
Track and optimize key metrics like conversion rates, order value, inventory turns, and fulfillment SLAs
Identify and act on white spaces, trends, and new opportunities within the category
Monitor competition and lead benchmarking to stay ahead in the market

Key Requirements

3–5 years of experience in category management, merchandising, or buying (preferably in e-commerce, retail, or FMCG)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Excel and data tools
Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to take ownership and drive results in a fast-paced environment
Graduate from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 institute; MBA is a plus
Ability to blend strategic thinking with hands-on execution
