IT Business Technology Enablement Senior Specialist

What you will do

The Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) organization operationally supports the "Business of IT" within TJX. We serve the company as both catalyst and coordinator, ensuring that IT execution maintains constant alignment with our global business needs.

The IT Business Change Management team support global technology efforts using industry best practice methods that help build capability and drive change and solution adoption for IT and business functions. We are aligned to Business objectives and the IT roadmap, prioritizing work that focus our delivery on business value and strategic outcomes. We ensure Associates are ready, willing and able to support diverse ways of working while keeping the Associate experience at the heart of everything we do.

As an IT Business Technology Enablement Senior Specialist, you will assist in the execution of Change and Training plans to support the implement of Business and technical changes across the IT Epic portfolio and Run the Business efforts. Providing support with some levels of IT and Business stakeholders. Developing actionable and targeted deliverables – including Training Curriculum, Course Outlines, Training Content Development and Training Evaluations.

Our team is seeking individuals who are passionate about technology and technical training. We are looking for people eager to expand their understanding of Business Change Management methodology and leverage our in-house tools to effectively achieve and sustain desired outcomes.

The ideal candidate should be able be able to demonstrate a passion for technology and process with the ability to work at pace. Be a team player, able to work with and through others and flex to changing business priorities. We want someone with the willingness to learn and try new things to drive better solutions and get results. With effective communication skills – both written and verbal and excellent active listening skills.

You will have a good understanding of how people experience and navigate change, along with some knowledge of change management principles and methodologies. You will be able to demonstrate strong analytical and decision-making abilities and have the capability to work effectively within an organization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 6-8 plus years of experience in Change, Communications, Training role, Technical Writer or relevant area.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or education or equivalent work experience.

Core Skills:

  • Collaborates and contributes to IT epic portfolio and run the business work of medium complexity with minimal supervision and coaching from line manager and portfolio leads
  • Demonstrates verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with various levels in the organization
  • Recommends decision-making for support and approaches to solutions
  • Team player and able to work with and through others
  • Solid communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Contributes to continuous improvement activities
  • Captures qualitative and quantitative data
  • Able to identify and communicate risks
  • Supports stakeholder relationships e.g., subject matter experts
  • Able to work with internal methodology, tools, and templates
  • Understanding of Agile methodology including tools and technology
  • Demonstrates analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and effectively on multiple projects with limited supervision
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, Snagit
  • Knowledge of eLearning tools (Captivate, Articulate Storyline, Brainshark) a plus

Change, Training and Communication Skills:

  • Solid knowledge of instructional design concepts, learning objectives and training evaluation.
  • Participates in the design and development of technical training strategies and approaches for low and medium complexity efforts.
  • Designs, develops, and delivers training materials utilizing in-house tools and templates.
  • Supports business partners and subject matter experts to execute technical training solutions.
  • Support training evaluation execution and metrics capture.
  • Supports, as needed, upload of application training, resources, and deliverables to training documentation repository.
  • Supports execution of technical training environments and data upkeep, as required.
  • Can plan and develop communication strategies and materials of low to medium complexity with guidance
  • Gains understanding of TJX and IT communications brand standards.
  • Assists with drafting and editing technical communications using best practices.
  • Works with line manager to understand change management activities as part of overall project plans.
  • Can develop change management plans and impact assessments of low to medium complexity.
  • Basic understanding of solution adoption principles and can support business change readiness activities.
