Senior BI / Data Engineer.

Job Overview:

• The Senior Business Intelligence (BI) & Data Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and delivery of business intelligence and data solutions. This role ensures robust data architecture, seamless data integration, and scalable data warehousing to enable accurate, timely, and actionable insights across the organization.
• By leveraging modern Microsoft Azure technologies (Power BI, Synapse, ADF, etc.), the role focuses on transforming raw data into meaningful information that supports decision-making and business performance improvement.
• The incumbent will be responsible for the planning, design, and implementation of data platforms, DWH systems, and BI tools, ensuring reliability, scalability, and user adoption utilizing the Microsoft Azure BI Stack. Expertise on Microsoft Fabric Analytics Platform is desirable.
• Perform advanced quantitative analyses to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights; support key business initiatives with data-driven decision-making.
• Design and deliver executive-level dashboards and reports with in-depth analysis, trends, and commentary.
• Architect, build, and deploy enterprise data warehouses and BI solutions, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
• Design and optimize intuitive BI user journeys to enhance adoption and usability.
• Establish and enforce best practices for data extraction, loading, transformation (ETL), and BI interfaces.
• Develop robust data architectures, data models, and ETL pipelines within a structured data warehouse environment.
• Ensure consistency and accuracy across reporting applications and data warehouse solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, actively listen, and translate needs into simple, scalable, and effective solutions.
• Implement ETL routines aligned with data warehouse design and architecture.
• Support the full lifecycle of BI and DWH systems, including development, testing, deployment, user access management, and security.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and supporting data warehousing solutions.
• Proven expertise in implementing and managing BI solutions, particularly Power BI.
• Strong knowledge of business processes, software design/programming principles, and database structures.
• Demonstrates sound business acumen with the ability to align technical solutions to business objectives.
• Proven expertise in implementing, managing, and maintaining BI and Data Warehouse platforms on Microsoft Azure, including Synapse Analytics, Synapse Pipelines, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and SSIS.
• Strong experience in designing and developing interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
• Advanced proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Skilled in architecting and building scalable data platforms to support enterprise-wide analytics.
• Experience in developing and maintaining a centralized customer 360° view to enable unified insights.
• Ability to conduct user training sessions, driving adoption and effective usage of BI tools.
• Proactive in identifying and recommending new BI/DWH initiatives to enhance data capabilities and business value.
• Track record of successfully delivering BI and data projects on time, within scope, and on budget.
