Job Description

As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the server-side logic, APIs, and services that power our applications. You'll focus on designing scalable architectures, optimizing performance, and ensuring system reliability. Your role will directly contribute to delivering high-quality, secure, and efficient backend systems while collaborating closely with frontend and DevOps teams.

Architecture And Development

The core responsibilities for the job include the following:

Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and microservices.
Ensure scalability, performance, and security of backend systems.
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following coding standards.

System Reliability

Optimize system performance and troubleshoot bottlenecks.
Implement automated testing (unit/integration) to ensure software reliability.
Proactively address technical debt and scalability concerns.

Collaboration And Best Practices

Work closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and QA teams.
Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of backend processes and tools.

Cloud And Deployment

Build and manage services on GCP/AWS (Azure optional but not preferred).
Work with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes for deployments.

Requirements

Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
5-7 years of backend development experience.
Strong proficiency in Node.js, Python, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
Solid understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and APIs.
Experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and data modeling.
Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP/AWS).

Skills

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Knowledge of software architecture and design patterns.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in Agile teams.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
