Automation QA Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and/or API applications
Create and enhance automation frameworks using industry best practices
Execute automated and manual test cases and analyze test results
Identify, log, track, and retest defects using defect management tools
Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts
Participate in requirement analysis, test planning, and estimation activities
Perform regression, smoke, and sanity testing
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
Ensure test coverage, quality metrics, and timely delivery

Required Skills & Qualifications

4+ years of experience in
Automation Testing
Strong hands-on experience with
Selenium WebDriver
Proficiency in
Java
Experience with automation frameworks such as
TestNG / JUnit / Cucumber
Knowledge of
API testing
using Rest Assured / Postman
Experience with
CI/CD tools
like Jenkins, Git, or GitHub Actions
Solid understanding of
SDLC and STLC
Experience in
Agile/Scrum
environments
Familiarity with defect tracking tools like
JIRA, ALM, or Azure DevOps

Good to Have

Experience with
BDD (Cucumber)
Exposure to
Performance Testing
(JMeter)
Knowledge of
SQL and Database Testing
Experience with
Cloud platforms
(AWS/Azure)
ISTQB certification
