Job Description

Job Purpose
Seeking a strategic, data-driven professional with experience in Asset-Based Finance (ABF) and strong data analytics capabilities to support ongoing reporting and asset management initiatives. This role will work closely with the domain and tech team to manage large datasets, build reporting dashboards, and become a key contributor to the asset management and analytics function.
Desired Skills and Experience
Essential skills
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or statistics
  • 4-6 years of experience in a Data Engineering role, with a proven track record of delivering insightful and value add dashboards
  • Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with Snowflake for database management and analytics.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and willingness to learn Tableau and Python for data analysis and visualization.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, ask the right questions, and integrate into a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
  • Passion for data, analytics, and continuous learning in the financial domain.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, problem solve, and think outside the box
Good to have
  • Experience in Asset-Based Finance (ABF)

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Ingestion: Work with ABF Engineering to ingest new and on-going data sets into Snowflake database.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines and queries using SQL and Snowflake, ensuring data accuracy and performance.
  • Data Standardization: Scrub, standardize and consolidate raw data feeds into final data views for downstream analytics and reporting.
  • Tasks include, but are not limited to, exploration data analysis to identify data anomalies and inconsistencies, data consolidation and view creation and credit performance calculations such as prepayments, defaults, realized losses, etc.
  • Tableau Reporting: Work with existing Acuity resources to use data views for reporting and dashboard builds
  • Utilize tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Tableau for data visualization and reporting; adopt new technologies including Python for advanced analytics.
  • Act as a self-starter and problem solver, proactively learning ABF concepts and contributing to the process beyond task-based work.
  • Collaborate with team to design and implement reporting dashboards for ongoing performance tracking and asset management.
  • Analyze and manage large, complex datasets related to whole loans and similar financial products (e.g., residential mortgages, unsecured consumer loans, credit cards).
