Senior Draftsman (10-15 Years’ Experience)

Key Responsibilities of a Senior Architectural Draftsman in an Architecture Design Firm:

• Architectural Drafting & Documentation:
• Create detailed architectural drawings, plans, elevations, sections, and construction details using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
• Prepare presentation drawings and 3D visualizations for client presentations.
• Generate as-built drawings, technical drawings, and specifications in line with project requirements.
• Collaboration with Design Teams:
• Work closely with architects, designers, and engineers to convert conceptual designs into technical drawings.
• Ensure that design intent and technical accuracy are maintained throughout the drafting process.
• Project Management & Coordination:
• Assist in managing the drafting team to ensure deadlines are met and quality standards are upheld.
• Coordinate between different disciplines (structural, mechanical, electrical) to ensure that all aspects of a project are integrated into the design documents.
• Code Compliance & Standards:
• Ensure that all drawings comply with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Conduct reviews of design documents to identify any potential issues with compliance or feasibility.
• Quality Assurance:
• Review and revise drafts to ensure accuracy and clarity.
• Implement best practices in drafting and documentation to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Client Liaison:
• Assist in communicating design changes and clarifications to clients.
• Participate in client meetings and site visits, offering technical support.
• Mentoring & Training:
• Provide mentorship to junior draftsmen, helping them develop their technical skills.
• Train staff on new software, industry standards, or updated techniques.

Key Skills Required:

• Technical Drawing Skills:
• Strong proficiency in drafting and technical drawing principles.
• Advanced skills in CAD software, including AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design tools.
• Design Knowledge:
• A solid understanding of architectural design principles and practices.
• Knowledge of construction techniques, building materials, and structural systems.
• Attention to Detail:
• Ability to produce precise and accurate drawings.
• Focus on detail to ensure quality and clarity in technical documentation.

• Experience managing or leading a team of draftsmen.
• Ability to guide and support junior staff in developing their skills.
• Adaptability & Continuous Learning:

A Senior Architectural Draftsman plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, feasibility, and quality of architectural projects by blending technical drawing expertise with a collaborative approach to design and construction.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
