Position: Senior Architect
Reports To: Principal Architect / Director
Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and self-driven Senior Architect to join our dynamic startup team. This role is the second-in-command to the Principal Architect and will take full ownership of projects, leading them independently from concept to completion with minimal guidance. The ideal candidate will have strong design vision, robust technical expertise, excellent project management skills, and the ability to create systems and processes to scale our architecture practice.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Technical Leadership

• Lead the design process for projects of varying scale (residential, commercial, mixed-use, interiors, etc.).
• Translate client briefs into innovative, functional, and sustainable architectural solutions.
• Ensure technical accuracy, detailing, and constructability of all design outputs.
• Oversee production of drawings, presentations, and design deliverables using Revit/AutoCAD/SketchUp and other tools.
• Maintain design quality and alignment with the Principal Architect’s vision.

Project Management

• Independently lead projects from concept design to site execution and handover.
• Prepare, track, and monitor project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
• Coordinate across consultants, contractors, vendors, and clients.
• Manage budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure projects are delivered efficiently.
• Oversee site supervision, resolve technical queries, and ensure construction aligns with design intent.

Systems & Process Creation

• Develop and implement SOPs, checklists, and workflows for design, documentation, and project execution.
• Establish systems for project tracking, drawing management, and quality control.
• Introduce best practices in workflows, file organization, and project collaboration.

Leadership & Team Development

• Mentor, guide, and review the work of junior architects, interns, and project teams.
• Act as the Principal Architect’s representative in client meetings, design discussions, and project reviews.
• Build a culture of design excellence, accountability, and collaboration within the team.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Architecture from a recognized institution.
• 6–12 years of professional experience in architecture (startup/fast-paced firm experience preferred).
• Strong design portfolio demonstrating creativity, functionality, and execution.
• Proficiency in necessary architectural software’s
• Solid understanding of building codes, regulations, and approval processes.
• Proven ability to manage projects independently end-to-end.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and client-handling skills.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational abilities.

Growth Path

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
