Job Description

Job Description:

We're looking for a highly proficient and dedicated Senior Data Engineer to be a core individual contributor in our engineering team. You'll be responsible for the hands-on design, development, and maintenance of high-quality data pipelines, ensuring data integrity and accessibility across the organization using our core cloud technologies. This role requires 4-6 years of experience and technical mastery in GBQ, Snowflake and DBT.

Responsibilities:

Data Pipeline Development: Hands-on design and implementation of production-ready data pipelines in Google BigQuery (GBQ), ensuring scalability, efficiency, and reliability.
Transformation Logic: Develop, maintain, and test complex data transformation logic using dbt (Data Build Tool) to support downstream analytical and business processes.
Data Architecture Contribution: Actively contribute to the building and maintenance of the Data Lake, assisting with the cataloging and metadata management of diverse tables across cloud data warehouses (GBQ and Snowflake).
Technical Execution: Apply strong SQL expertise and cloud data warehousing knowledge (GBQ and Snowflake) to optimize queries, troubleshoot issues, and manage data assets.
Collaboration & Communication: Proactively communicate progress, articulate technical challenges, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders and engineering peers, demonstrating a proactive approach to highlighting and resolving issues.

Skills:

Experience: 4–6 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering or a similar highly technical data role.
Technical Stack (Must Have):
Strong proficiency in SQL (querying, stored procedures, performance tuning).
Mandatory hands-on experience with Google BigQuery (GBQ) and Snowflake.
Mandatory experience building production-grade data pipelines and transformation layers using DBT.
Experience contributing to the architecture and maintenance of a Data Lake or equivalent large-scale data store, including cataloging.
Strong communication and articulation skills for discussing technical trade-offs.
Proactive approach to highlighting and resolving issues within the data environment.

Good to Have:

Prior experience with GA4 data migration or integrating web analytics data streams.
