Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage the accounting and financial operations of our group of educational institutions. The ideal candidate will ensure the accuracy of financial records, compliance with regulations, and contribute to strategic financial planning and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:1. Financial Management

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting functions across multiple institutions under the group.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing processes.

2. Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts for each institution.
  • Monitor budget variances and provide analysis and corrective action recommendations.

3. Compliance & Audit

  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations related to taxation (GST, TDS, etc.), and other financial norms.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors for annual audits.
  • Maintain proper documentation and financial controls in line with institutional policies.

4. Payroll & Staff Accounting

  • Supervise and verify monthly payroll processing.
  • Manage PF, ESI, and other employee-related statutory filings.

5. Fees Management

  • Coordinate with administrative staff on student fee collection, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Ensure accuracy of fee-related data in ERP or accounting software.

6. Financial Reporting

  • Prepare periodic financial statements and management reports.
  • Provide analytical support for strategic decisions, funding, and resource allocation.

7. System & Process Improvement

  • Improve and automate financial processes wherever possible.
  • Manage and train junior accounting staff or campus-level accountants.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (Master’s preferred).
  • CA Inter / CMA / M.Com / MBA Finance will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience, preferably in the education sector or multi-unit organization.
  • Strong knowledge of Tally ERP, Excel, and accounting software.
  • Familiarity with educational ERP systems is a plus.

Compensation:

Commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
