Salon Accountant – Full‑Time Position - women candidate only - salon experience

We’re 35yrs old boutique salon in chennai and we’re looking for a detail‑oriented, numbers‑savvy accountant to keep our books in perfect shape and help us plan for the future. If you love the buzz of a creative workspace and have a knack for turning data into insights, we’d love to hear from you.

# Key Responsibilities

- Manage daily financial transactions: invoicing, accounts payable, and bank reconciliations.

- Prepare monthly financial statements, profit‑and‑loss reports, and cash‑flow forecasts.

- Process payroll for a team of 12‑15 staff members, ensuring timely and accurate payments.

- Track salon expenses, manage budgets, and identify cost‑saving opportunities.

- Handle GST, VAT, and other statutory filings; maintain compliance with local tax regulations.

- Support the owner with financial analysis, budgeting for new services, and pricing strategies.

- Maintain an organized filing system for all financial documents, both digital and paper.

- Liaise with banks, auditors, and tax authorities as needed.

#What We’re Looking For

- Experience: Minimum 2 years of accounting work, preferably in a service‑oriented business (salon, spa, retail, or similar).

- Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce; CA, CMA, or equivalent certification is a plus.

- Skills:

- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Tally, Zoho Books, or similar).

- Strong Excel skills – pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling.

- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive problem‑solving mindset.

- Ability to communicate clearly with non‑financial team members.

- Personal traits: Organized, reliable, and comfortable working in a vibrant, client‑focused environment.

- Availability: Monday‑Friday, 9 am–6 pm (flexible for occasional weekend work during peak periods).
