Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Accountant located in Chennai. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing financial statements, overseeing accounting operations, conducting financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. Day-to-day tasks include preparing budgets, managing tax filings, conducting audits, and providing financial reports to management. Additionally, the role involves coordinating with other departments to streamline financial processes and maintain accurate financial records.

Qualifications

• Manage day-to-day accounting tasks, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and update financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements.
• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements.
• Verify vendor bills and agreements, ensuring statutory compliance.
• Assist in payroll processes, including PF, ESI, TDS, and professional tax deposition.
• Draft and present accounting summaries and reports for management.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and internal departments for payouts and reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate Accounts MIS records and ensure error-free documentation.

Requirements

• Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance or Accounting.
• 3-5 years of experience in Accounts, preferably in the services or manufacturing sector.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, MS Excel, Word, and TDS software).
• Strong understanding of accounting standards and statutory regulations.
• Attention to detail and ability to handle a high volume of work.

Experience

• Taxation: 3 years (Preferred).
• AP, AR, TDS: 3 years (Preferred).
• Accounting: 3 years (Preferred).
• Tally: 3 years (Preferred).
• GST: 1 year (Preferred).
• Accounts Executive: 1 year (Preferred).
