Job Title: Security BootLoader

Location: Hyderabad

Experience: 3–5 years

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain secure bootloaders. Implement and validate secure boot, secure flashing, firmware authentication, and memory layout management. Work closely with hardware security modules (HSM), PKI, and cryptographic mechanisms to ensure secure device startup and OTA updates. Handle coexistence scenarios (WLAN, BLE) and their interaction with the bootloader. Perform debugging, log analysis, and root-cause analysis of low-level boot and startup issues. Ensure compliance with MISRA C, perform errata analysis, and contribute to code quality and security standards. Collaborate with QA and validation teams to execute and automate bootloader test cases (e.g., UDS-based secure flashing validation). Integrate diagnostic services (DIDs) and support secure communication protocols in the bootloader environment. Participate in system-level testing, including secure OTA mechanisms, rollback protection, and firmware versioning. Maintain traceability via tools like IBM DOORS and manage configuration via SVN/Git. Support certification, documentation, and security audit processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems, or related field.

3–5 years of experience in bootloader development for embedded or automotive systems.

Strong proficiency in Embedded C and working knowledge of Python for scripting/debugging.

Hands-on experience with secure bootloaders, AUTOSAR BSW, HSM integration, and PKI-based secure flashing.

Good understanding of cryptographic primitives, digital signatures, and secure hashing algorithms.

Experience with UDS services (ISO 14229) and CAN protocol (ISO 15765).

Familiarity with testing tools: Vector CANoe/CANalyzer, Renesas Flash Tools, Lauterbach TRACE32.

Comfortable working on Linux and Windows development environments.

Experience with debugging tools, linker scripts, and boot sequence analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Silicon Labs EFR32, Si917, Si916 chipsets. Exposure to IoT device security, RTOS (e.g., FreeRTOS, Zephyr), or Bare Metal systems. Experience in creating or maintaining power-on self-test (POST) and firmware integrity validation. Knowledge of platform-level power and performance testing. Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for embedded software integration and testing.
Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Effective communication and documentation skills. Ability to work independently and within a team. Experience in mentoring junior developers or reviewing code.
