Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Security Analyst Intern to join our team and contribute to Cstream’s mission of simplifying security and compliance for innovative tech companies. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with real-world compliance frameworks, cloud security, and emerging technologies like GenAI.

Responsibilities

• Assist in executing SOC 2, ISO 27001, and HIPAA readiness assessments for clients
• Support the development and maintenance of security controls and documentation
• Analyze and monitor security configurations across AWS environments (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda)
• Help triage vulnerabilities and risks identified during scans or assessments
• Research compliance requirements and map controls within the Cstream platform
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our “CISO in a Box” automation workflows
• Assist in drafting security policies, procedures, and playbooks for customers
• Collaborate with engineers and compliance leads to enhance platform features and internal tools.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Strong interest in cloud security, compliance frameworks, and risk management
• Basic understanding of AWS services and architecture
• Familiarity with one or more frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, HIPAA) is a plus
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Eagerness to learn, collaborate, and work in a fast-paced startup environment.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to vulnerability management tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys)
• Knowledge of scripting or automation (e.g., Python, Bash)
• Previous internship or project experience related to cybersecurity or compliance
• Interest in Generative AI and its application in security or documentation
