Search Engine Optimization Team Lead

Role & responsibilities:

• Develop and implement effective SEO strategies for websites and clients across industries
• Lead, mentor, and manage a small team of SEO executives and analysts
• Perform comprehensive site audits and provide actionable recommendations
• Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis, and backlink audits
• Collaborate with content and development teams to ensure SEO best practices
• Monitor and report on key SEO performance metrics (traffic, rankings, conversions)
• Stay up to date with industry trends, algorithm changes, and emerging tools
• Coordinate with clients for reporting and planning
• Use tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, etc.
• Drive continuous improvement in organic visibility and ROI

Preferred candidate profile:

• 35 years of hands-on SEO experience

• Strong knowledge of Google algorithms, ranking factors, and SEO best practices

• Experience with SEO tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, Screaming Frog, etc.

• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and CMS platforms (WordPress, Shopify, etc.)

• Solid understanding of content marketing and keyword strategy

• Strong analytical and reporting skills using GA4, GSC, and Excel/Data Studio

• Experience in team management or mentoring SEO professionals

• Excellent communication and project management skills
