About the Role

We are hiring a highly skilled, strategic, and hands-on SEO Manager to lead organic growth for our portfolio of B2B SaaS clients in the U.S. This is a hands-on, individual contributor (IC) role, ideal for someone who thrives on building end-to-end SEO programs, aligning strategy with marketing funnel stages, and taking full ownership of all SEO initiatives. You will be directly responsible for end-to-end SEO ownership of technical audits, keyword mapping across the SaaS buyer journey, content briefing, link-building strategy, reporting, and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

  • SEO Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and own SEO roadmaps tailored to mid-market and enterprise SaaS clients.
  • Prioritize on-page & technical SEO along with backlinking initiatives based on site audits and business goals.
  • Define and track KPIs such as organic traffic, rankings, and content engagement and more.
  • Align efforts with client KPIs; organic traffic, lead generation, etc.
  • Keyword Strategy & Buyer Journey Mapping

  • Perform deep-dive keyword research aligned with B2B SaaS buyer journeys (Target ? Awareness ? Consideration ? Decision).
  • Identify opportunity gaps, cluster keywords by intent, and map them to content types and funnel stages.
  • Collaborate with content writers by preparing detailed content briefs, including metadata, H1/H2s, CTAs, and internal linking plans.
  • Own the keyword-to-content mapping matrix and keep it updated.
  • Content Strategy & Briefing

  • Collaborate with content writers by producing detailed SEO content briefs including:
  • Primary & secondary keywords
  • Metadata (titles, descriptions)
  • H1-H2 hierarchy
  • Internal links and CTA placements
  • Search intent notes for writers
  • Create briefs for comparison pages, solution pages, industry pages, white papers, ebooks, case studies, thought-leadership blogs, etc.
  • Technical SEO

  • Conduct full-site technical audits and collaborate with developers to implement fixes.
  • Optimize crawlability, indexation, Core Web Vitals, and mobile experience.
  • Implement schema markup (FAQ, Software Application, Product, etc.) and improve internal linking architecture.
  • Off-Page SEO (Link Building)

  • Design and execute white-hat backlink strategies through digital PR, guest posting, SaaS influencer outreach, and competitive link gap analysis.
  • Audit backlink profiles and disavow toxic domains when necessary.
  • Build authority using scalable and relationship-driven outreach.
  • Analytics & Reporting

  • Build SEO dashboards in GA4, GSC, and Looker Studio for transparent reporting.
  • Monitor keyword rankings, traffic trends, and conversion paths.
  • Translate SEO performance into stakeholder-friendly insights and action plans.
  • Required Skills

    • 6-8 years of hands-on SEO experience, specifically for the U.S.-based B2B SaaS companies.
    • Deep knowledge of SaaS user personas (CTOs, Heads of Support, PMs) and long-cycle buyer journeys.
    • Strong experience with SEO tools: Semrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, GA4, Looker Studio.
    • Strong understanding of technical SEO: page speed, crawl budget, structured data, mobile-first indexing, and CWV.
    • Exceptional communication skills.
    • Able to break down SEO concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
    • Experience in multi-client or agency environments is a must.
    • Experience with SaaS platforms and SEO implications.
    • Exposure to marketing automation and CRM workflows.
