Role Description

As the SEO Manager, you will be responsible for driving the company's organic traffic growth and improving search engine rankings across our travel-related web properties. You will work closely with content, tech, and product teams to build a scalable SEO strategy that aligns with business goals and user needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute an end-to-end SEO strategy to grow organic traffic across destination, activity, and package pages.
• Conduct technical SEO audits and ensure best practices for crawling, indexing, and site architecture.
• Optimize existing content and create SEO briefs for new pages targeting destination, itinerary, seasonal, and travel blog keywords.
• Own keyword research, SERP analysis, competitor benchmarking, and traffic forecasting.
• Collaborate with content and design teams to create high-quality, SEO-optimized travel content.
• Work with developers to ensure proper implementation of SEO recommendations, including structured data, canonical tags, page speed, and mobile usability.
• Track performance using tools like GSC, GA4, Semrush/Ahrefs, and generate monthly reports highlighting wins and opportunities.
• Build and execute a backlink acquisition strategy (guest posts, content marketing, PR).
• Stay updated with Google algorithm updates and adapt SEO strategy accordingly.
• Optimize content for inclusion in Google's AI Overviews and other generative AI search results.
• Develop strategies to increase visibility and referral traffic from large language models (LLMs) like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Bing Copilot, etc.
• Work closely with the content and branding teams to position the website as an authoritative source for LLM training data and citations.
• Monitor traffic and engagement from LLMs and AI-driven platforms using third-party analytics and custom tagging.

Key Requirements:

• 5–8 years of proven SEO experience, preferably in travel, e-commerce, or content-heavy platforms.
• Deep understanding of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO.
• Experience working on large websites with 1,000+ pages and dynamic content.
• Hands-on with SEO tools: Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs/Semrush, etc.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
• Working knowledge of HTML, schema markup, internal linking, sitemaps, robots.txt, etc.
• Familiarity with CMS platforms like WordPress, Webflow, or custom travel CMS.
• Understanding of AI Overview optimization techniques and experience in tracking traffic from AI platforms.
• Experience with international SEO and multi-language/multi-location site optimization.
