You will be responsible for leading the QA efforts, ensuring high-quality standards, and mentoring junior QA engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Automation & Framework Development:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for both Cross platform-based desktop applications and web portal applications
- Define and implement automation strategies that complement manual testing efforts
- Collaborate with developers to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipelines
- Ensure automation coverage across functional, regression, integration, and performance areas
- Testing Expertise:
- Drive both manual and automated testing for comprehensive quality coverage
- Build and maintain robust test suites to ensure reliable regression testing
- Ensure accurate estimation for automation and testing tasks
- Performance & Scalability:
- Leverage performance testing tools and methodologies to validate system scalability and responsiveness
- Collaborate with developers and DevOps teams to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks
- Leadership:
- Lead the SDET/QA team and provide technical mentorship on automation best practices
- Conduct code reviews, knowledge-sharing sessions, and enforce high-quality coding/testing standards
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (Dev, Product, QA) to ensure seamless test integration
- Drive test strategy discussions, ensuring alignment with product and organizational goals
- Attention to Detail & Quality Advocacy:
- Champion engineering excellence and best practices for testing
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of automation scripts, frameworks, and overall QA processes
- Ensure all products and releases meet the highest standards of reliability, scalability, and maintainability
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in software testing, with strong expertise in automation and test framework development
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, Java, C#, or similar)
- Hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or equivalent test automation tools
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
- Good understanding of manual testing principles to complement automation efforts
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in testing both desktop applications and web portals
- Exposure to performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Locust)
- Hands-on experience with API testing frameworks (e.g., Postman, RestAssured)
- Proven ability to lead a team, mentor junior engineers, and scale automation practices
- Strong focus on quality engineering, reliability, and scalability
