Responsibilities

• Write 2 high-quality, compelling science articles per day (800–1,200 words each)
• Break down peer-reviewed research into engaging, accurate, and well-structured content
• Pitch weekly article ideas drawn from emerging research, science news, and recent academic publications.
• Interview scientists or researchers when needed and include expert insights in articles
• Collaborate with editors on tone, structure, and reader engagement strategies
• Stay current with trends in environmental science, genetics, climate, and sustainability
  

Required Qualifications

• 3–7 years of professional experience in science journalism, environmental reporting, or academic communication
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a scientific field (Biology, Environmental Science, Bioengineering, Earth Sciences, or related)
• Demonstrated ability to write about complex topics in an engaging, accessible way
• Strong portfolio of science or environmental content
• Ability to analyze and accurately summarize peer-reviewed research
• Strong research skills and attention to detail, particularly in interpreting scientific findings
• Strong editorial instincts with a reader-first mindset
• Comfortable switching between technical precision and narrative flair
• Familiarity with academic publishing, citation formats, and scientific terminology
• Experience working with content management systems and newsroom workflows
