In this role, you will work remotely through secure access to our development server, utilizing Ignition Perspective to design and enhance SCADA screens. You’ll collaborate closely with the lead and assistant SCADA developers, contributing to the development, refinement, and functionality of the system interfaces.This position centers on screen engineering within a sophisticated, multi-server SCADA architecture. You’ll work alongside fellow developers and technical leads to deliver robust, scalable, and user-centric SCADA interfaces aligned with operational goals and system requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop and modify SCADA screens using Ignition Perspective via remote connection to the project’s development server.
- Collaborate with the lead and assistant SCADA developers to support ongoing screen development and updates.
- Ensure consistency and usability across SCADA interfaces, aligned with project standards and user expectations.
- Work within a multi-server and multi-client deployment architecture, ensuring performance and reliability.
- Apply best practices in screen design, tag management, and interface responsiveness.
- Maintain clean, well-documented configurations and follow version control best practices (e.g., Git, GitHub, or platform-native versioning).
- Participate in technical discussions with engineering teams to align SCADA functionality with system requirements.
- Participate in system testing, validation, and performance tuning.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setup while collaborating effectively with distributed teams.

Preferred Skills
- 5–8 years of experience in SCADA development, with a focus on screen design and engineering.
- Hands-on experience with Ignition by Inductive Automation or similar platforms such as
- Schneider Electric Geo SCADA Expert
- Emerson Movicon / PACEdge
- GE Digital iFIX (New Version)
- AVEVA System Platform (Wonderware ArchestrA)
- Rockwell FactoryTalk SE
- Strong understanding of OPC-UA or equivalent industrial communication protocols.
- Experience working in large-scale SCADA environments (50,000+ tags), with emphasis on tag structuring, naming conventions, and performance optimization.
- Strong understanding of multi-server and multi-client SCADA architectures, including distributed deployment models and client-server synchronization.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git/GitHub, and collaborative development workflows.
- Ability to design responsive and intuitive HMI interfaces, including navigation structures, pop-ups, and dynamic content.
- Knowledge of user access control, role-based permissions, and security best practices in SCADA environments.
Desirable
- Exposure to scripting within SCADA platforms (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Expression Language, SQL).
- Experience with performance tuning and diagnostics in SCADA systems.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery models and sprint-based development.
- Understanding of industrial automation workflows and control system integration.
