Job purpose

Senior SAP ABAP Developer

Working closely with cross-functional teams, the Senior SAP ABAP Developer will provide technical leadership, ensure adherence to best practices, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the SAP system to meet evolving business requirements and drive operational efficiency.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and implement SAP ABAP programs and custom enhancements for the SAP TM/CSL product.
• Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure compliance with best practices, coding standards, and performance optimization.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to SAP TM/CSL, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Optimize and enhance existing SAP TM/CSL solutions to improve system performance, scalability, and functionality.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior developers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
• Stay current with the latest SAP technologies, tools, and industry trends to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

Background and Experience :

• 5-8 years of experience

  as an SAP ABAP Developer, with a strong focus on developing and maintaining SAP solutions in the logistics and shipping industry.

• SAP TM/CSL Expertise:

  Proven track record in designing, developing, and optimizing SAP ABAP programs for the

  SAP TM or TM/CSL (Transportation Management – Container Shipping Liner)

  product.

• Implementation and Customization:

  Extensive experience in implementing and customizing SAP TM/CSL functionalities to meet business requirements, particularly in container shipping and feeder logistics.

• Integration Skills:

  Hands-on experience in integrating SAP TM/CSL with other SAP modules and external systems to ensure seamless operations.

• Industry Knowledge:

  Familiarity with the liner feeder shipping industry and a solid understanding of related logistics processes, such as transportation management, event management, and warehouse operations.

• Problem-Solving:

  Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify technical issues and implement effective solutions efficiently.

• Process Improvement:

  Demonstrated ability to evaluate and streamline operational processes through SAP TM/CSL enhancements and automation.
