Our client, a top-tier global pharmaceutical company, is looking for a Senior SAP PP/QM Consultant to manage production planning and quality control within SAP. The ideal candidate will have expertise in the pharmaceutical industry and experience ensuring that manufacturing processes comply with strict quality standards and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP PP (Production Planning) and QM (Quality Management) for pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Configure Bill of Materials (BOM), Work Centers, and Routing to align with pharmaceutical production requirements (including batch production and serial number tracking).
• Ensure compliance with FDA, EMA, and GMP regulations for the production and quality control of pharmaceutical products.
• Oversee MRP (Material Requirements Planning), capacity planning, and procurement for manufacturing operations.
• Lead quality assurance processes, including the configuration of Inspection Characteristics, Sampling Procedures, and Inspection Plans.
• Manage integration with SAP MM for inventory and procurement, and with SAP FI/CO for cost tracking and profitability analysis of pharmaceutical production.
• Implement production orders, material staging, and goods receipt/issue for both raw materials (APIs) and finished goods.
• Ensure quality control through batch management, including inspection and testing at various stages of production (e.g., in-process, finished goods).
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production efficiency while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in SAP PP and QM modules, with a focus on pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
• Expertise in configuring and optimizing batch management, production orders, and serial number tracking for pharmaceutical products.
• In-depth knowledge of quality management, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
• Experience with SAP integrations between PP, MM, and SD to streamline production and sales processes.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements (FDA, EMA) and their application in SAP configurations.

Preferred Skills

• SAP Certification in PP/QM.
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical-specific manufacturing processes (e.g., clinical trial production, packaging regulations).
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and Pharma-specific features in PP/QM.
