SAP ERP Human Resource (HR) – Payroll Functional Consultant

Role Overview:

SAP ERP HR – Payroll Functional Consultant

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure

    accurate and timely processing of India payroll

    in accordance with company policies and statutory regulations.
  • Maintain compliance with

    tax laws, PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, and other applicable labor laws

    .
  • Perform

    payroll validation, reconciliations, and quality checks

    to ensure data integrity.
  • Monitor and adhere to defined

    SLAs and process quality standards.

  • Manage and respond promptly to

    client queries, issues, and escalations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve payroll discrepancies and system-related issues.
  • Prepare

    MIS reports, payroll summaries, and audit documentation

    as required.
  • Leverage

    MS Excel

    for payroll calculations, data management, and reporting.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and automation opportunities.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of

    India Payroll processes, statutory compliance, and payroll accounting.

  • Experience in

    Payroll Implementation

    and handling

    PCR (Personnel Calculation Rules)

    and

    Schema

    for payroll and time.
  • Working knowledge of

    SAP HR / SAP Payroll

    modules preferred (not mandatory).
  • Proficiency in

    MS Excel

    and

    MS Word

    for payroll reporting and analysis.
  • Strong

    analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Ability to work within defined timelines and deliver consistent, high-quality outputs.

Good to Have:

  • Exposure to

    SAP ERP HR Payroll configuration or support.

  • Experience with

    multi-location payroll processing

    in India.
  • Knowledge of

    automation tools or payroll optimization techniques.
