Job Description: SAP Commerce Developer

Remotely – Full time – Immediate hiring

Position Overview

The SAP Commerce Developer is responsible for developing, customizing, and maintaining core modules within the SAP Commerce (Hybris) platform. The role involves implementing new features, enhancing existing functionality, resolving technical issues, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the commerce system. The developer will work closely with technical leads, functional teams, and operations teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-performance e-commerce solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Development & Customization

• Develop and extend SAP Commerce core modules, including services, controllers, workflows, and backoffice extensions.
• Implement custom OCC APIs, ImpEx scripts, CronJobs, and data models.
• Build reusable components that follow SAP Commerce best practices and coding standards.
• Participate in the development of new features, enhancements, and integrations.

2. Support & Operations

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in development, staging, and production environments.
• Support day-to-day operations including performance tuning, error handling, and system stability improvements.
• Assist in root-cause analysis and provide long-term fixes for recurring issues.
• Collaborate with DevOps and operations teams during deployments, patching, and upgrades.

3. Integration & API Development

• Develop and optimize integrations with external systems (ERP, CRM, payment gateways, third-party services).
• Work with OCC REST APIs, event-driven workflows, and asynchronous operations.
• Ensure secure, scalable, and efficient integration patterns.

4. Code Quality & Documentation

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Conduct unit testing and contribute to automated test development.
• Participate in code reviews and follow established coding guidelines.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for features and modules.

5. Collaboration

• Work closely with Technical Leads and Solution Architects for design and architecture alignment.
• Coordinate with QA teams to support testing cycles and defect resolution.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth delivery.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP Commerce (Hybris) platform.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring, JPA/Hibernate, and RESTful API development.
• Solid understanding of SAP Commerce extension architecture, backoffice customization, and storefront framework.
• Familiarity with ImpEx, flexible search, Solr, caching, and WCMS components.
• Experience working with Git, Jenkins/CI pipelines, and deployments.
• Understanding of relational databases (MySQL, Oracle, or similar).

Experience Requirements

• 3–6+ years of hands-on development experience with SAP Commerce.
• Experience working on large-scale e-commerce implementations is a plus.

Preferred Certifications

• SAP Certified Development Associate – SAP Commerce Cloud
• Java Developer Certification (optional)

Language Requirements

• Fluent in English (required)
• Arabic is a plus (optional)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹14,163.80 - ₹66,936.98 per month
