Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Lead SAP ABAP Developer to join our IT team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading ABAP development efforts within our SAP landscape, focusing on transforming legacy SAP programs and implementing robust, high-performance solutions. This position requires a deep understanding of ABAP on HANA, strong problem-solving abilities, and a proven track record in SAP implementations, particularly within the Pharma sector. Key Responsibilities: Lead and execute deep ABAP development, including ABAP on HANA and ABAP OO development. Design and implement CDS and AMDP based on business requirements. Apply code push down techniques effectively. Transform traditional ABAP programs in legacy SAP system into SAP architecture. Develop applications using object-oriented programming techniques. Possess strong understanding of Web/Enterprise Services, including ABAP Proxy and SAP API expertise. Demonstrate expert knowledge in IDOC enhancement and ALE/IDOC responsibility. Utilize expertise in enhancing standard SAP functionality leveraging standard enhancements frameworks such as User exists, Business Transaction Events (BTE), Business Add-Ins (BADI), and Enhancement Spots (Implicit & Explicit). Develop applications across various SAP modules including FI/CO, SD, MM, PP, and QM. Perform performance tuning to optimize function performance. Develop, code, document, and execute unit tests, system, integration, and acceptance tests, along with testing tools for complex functions. Involve in change management, incident management, and problem management as per the ITIL framework. Drive the HANA support process and ensure compliance with project standards and deliverables. Develop detailed plans and accurate estimates for the completion of build, system testing, and implementation phases of projects. Required Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Engineering. 10-14 years of experience in IT, with 3-4 SAP implementations specifically in the Pharma industry. Strong experience in ABAP on HANA, AMDP, code push down techniques, CDS views, Business Object Processing Framework (BOPF), and backend oData services. Expertise in complex ABAP programming, testing, and debugging functions related to SAP module implementation. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Desired Skills (Good to have): Exposure to front-end technologies like SAP Fiori or WebDynpro. Knowledge of front-end Fiori development (HTML5/CSS/JavaScript). Why Join Us?
