Salesforce Release Engineer

As an experienced Salesforce Release Engineer with 3-6 years of expertise in managing end-to-end release processes within complex Salesforce ecosystems, your role will involve the following responsibilities: - Own and manage the Salesforce release lifecycle, including planning, scheduling, coordination, and deployment of releases across environments (Dev, QA, UAT, Prod). - Define and enforce release governance by establishing code freeze protocols, version control, change request reviews, and deployment approvals. - Configure and manage deployment pipelines in Gearset to automate and streamline deployment workflows. - Conduct pre-deployment validation and post-deployment verification to ensure the integrity and accuracy of deployments. - Maintain a deep understanding of Salesforce metadata and configurations, staying up to date with platform updates and enhancements. - Collaborate with Admins, Developers, Architects, QA, and Business stakeholders to ensure release readiness and post-deployment validation. - Utilize tools such as Gearset, Flosum, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or Salesforce DX for CI/CD pipeline execution and metadata deployments. - Maintain and optimize branching strategies in Git (feature, release, hotfix). - Track and report on release metrics (success/failure rate, rollback events, cycle time) to improve DevOps maturity. - Troubleshoot deployment issues and work with developers for timely resolution. - Train teams and evangelize release best practices within the organization. - Develop deployment strategies and best practices to optimize the efficiency and reliability of deployments. - Collaborate with the Salesforce development team to implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices. - Participate in release management activities, including release planning, scheduling, and coordination. Non-Technical Skills: - Good communication skills (written & spoken) - Strong analytical and logical thinking skills - Positive attitude - Flexibility to work across teams and clients Preferred Qualifications: - Salesforce Administrator or Platform Developer Certification. - Development lifecycle and deployment architect certification would be a plus point. - Experience in regulated environments with audit and compliance requirements. - Familiarity with Agile tools (Jira, Azure Boards).
