Salesforce Release Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Release Engineer with 3-6 years of expertise managing end-to-end release processes within complex Salesforce ecosystems. The ideal candidate will oversee deployment strategies, enforce governance standards, and lead cross-functional coordination to ensure smooth, timely, and high-quality releases across multiple Salesforce orgs and environments.

Roles &Responsibilities:

• Own and manage the Salesforce release lifecycle including planning, scheduling, coordination, and deployment of releases across environments (Dev, QA, UAT, Prod).
• Define and enforce release governance, including code freeze protocols, version control, change request reviews, and deployment approvals.
• Configure and manage deployment pipelines in Gearset to automate and streamline deployment workflows.
• Conduct pre-deployment validation and post-deployment verification to ensure the integrity and accuracy of deployments.
• Maintain a deep understanding of Salesforce metadata and configurations, staying up to date with platform updates and enhancements.
• Collaborate with Admins, Developers, Architects, QA, and Business stakeholders to ensure release readiness and post-deployment validation.
• Utilize tools such as Gearset, Flosum, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or Salesforce DX for CI/CD pipeline execution and metadata deployments.
• Maintain and optimize branching strategies in Git (feature, release, hotfix).
• Track and report on release metrics (success/failure rate, rollback events, cycle time) to improve DevOps maturity.
• Troubleshoot deployment issues and work with developers for timely resolution.
• Train teams and evangelize release best practices within the organization.
• Develop deployment strategies and best practices to optimize the efficiency and reliability of deployments.
• Collaborate with the Salesforce development team to implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
• Participate in release management activities, including release planning, scheduling, and coordination.

• Salesforce Administrator or Platform Developer Certification.

• Familiarity with Agile tools (Jira, Azure Boards).
